Bangalore – (November 18, 2016) — Sooktha, an advanced wireless access solutions company, announced today that it has successfully completed IoDT testing of both its Residential and Enterprise Femto Base Stations with a leading 4G service provider. The tests were conducted in TDD Band 40 with a host of devices/handsets and core network equipment from a major infrastructure vendor. The tests covered various features such as peak throughputs, capacity, VoLTE, mobility between small cells, SON and HeMS interoperability. The tests gave a good indicator of the readiness of the Sooktha solution for field trials followed by rapid commercial deployment.
The Femto Base Station solutions are a part of the Sooktha LTE Advanced Smart Base Station portfolio which is a common software solution that drives a range of solutions from a Residential Femto Base Station to a cloud RAN macro solution. The software is also deployed in Test & Measurement solutions where it is used to test a host of LTE UEs including USB modems and handsets in a host of bands across the world and in both FDD and TDD modes. The software is being used to demonstrate the NXP/Freescale vAccess platform across the world. The solution includes support LTE Advanced with compliance to 3GPP Release 10 and with support the Carrier Aggregation (CA feature) with easy migration to Release 11 and beyond.
“The successful completion of IoDT with a leading 4G service provider and with a host of components from the 4G LTE ecosystem following the successful commercialization of our software in the Spirent WTS 122 platform demonstrate the maturity and feature richness of our LTE Advanced Smart Base Station solution”, said Balaji Rangaswamy, CEO. “This demonstrates the success of our strategy of accelerating deployment of next generation solutions by simultaneously addressing both the “Infrastructure” and the Test & Measurement segments”.
